The Room is the first game in the series and first chronological game in the main trilogy. It was originally released on iOS in September 2012 and on Android in March 2013. An enhanced version was released on Steam in July 2014, and for the Nintendo Switch in October 2018.

Synopsis
The Room is set in an abandoned house where you discover a mysterious safe. On the safe is a letter written to you from a character known only as A.S. As you solve the complex puzzles posed to you by the safe, you find torn journal entries written by A.S. The game progresses from box to box as you unlock the mysteries held within the safe, and the boxes within. At the end of the game, a portal opens and takes you to an unearthly place with large gears and cogs in the background. The game ends with you activating and going through a mysterious door covered in tendrils, along with your eyepiece lens shattering.
Chapter 1
The first chapter starts of with you finding yourself in a room with a large safe.
Chapter 2
After retrieving the hexagonal box, the Protagonist is tasked to access it by opening the three main seals on the front.
Chapter 3
After taking out the third and final box, the Protagonist needs to fully unlock the top of the orrery.
Chapter 4
With the top of the orrery completely open, the Protagonist can fully access the box's deepest secrets but with otherworldly consequences.
Epilogue
After being taken through space and time to the cog room, the player is faced with a table and a music box for the final puzzle of the game.
